MEAT, MEAT AND MORE MEAT!!
For the 2nd time, I had Brazilian BBQ for dinner in celebration of a friend's birthday. Meat is good! Tried alligator, and when it's they say it tastes like chicken, it practically is. Look, texture, taste. The hit of the evening was the skirt steak, cooked just right with perfect flavoring and texture. Other pieces of meat that we had were rib-eye (little bit chewy); quail, lamb, bacon wrapped turkey chunks (they looked like marshmellow's), top sirloin (it was bloody), and grilled pineapples (those were excellent). For 2 hours, we were big-time carnivores, and it was sweet! Chomp-Chomp!
The place we went to was in Fullerton. Can't remember the name, but I'll fill in blank later. The first Brazilian BBQ place I went to, is in Covina (I think), called Greenfields. They had much more variety cuts of meat and selection. Perhaps my next birthday will be a visit to the coveted meat-haven, that is Greenfield's. :)
Now I will need to spend the next half hour picking the meat chunks out of my ginormous molars.
Beyond the meat, it was a great dinner. Sitting with fellow UCR alumni, a fews years younger than I, but that didn't matter. It was a great time of eating and fellowship. I am very thankful that I am able to remain in relationship with fellow alums-post UCR. Keeps me feeling young! It's cool to see where each person is at, and to see that many are still serving in many capacities.
