Fantasy Foosball!
Aargh!! I am down by only 13 points going into tomorrow's Monday Night Football showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and the Phildelphia Eagles. T.O. is out - that winer!!! Wine, Wine, Wine, want some cheese with that Wine!! He has getting paid too much to talk smack. Doesn't any feel the same way when an athlete makes himself/herself to be "contraversial"? What a waste of money I say! So I finally dump him off my roster, and pick up Hines Ward (Hines Ketchup! I always call him). Hopefully that was a good move.
Man, I can't stand losing by single digits anymore!!! I've lost 5 straight weeks by single digit defeats - those are the ones that eat you from the inside! I asked my co-workers to throw me a frickin bone! Please! (by the way, the Fantasy Football is with 5 of my co-workers). I need Jason Witten on Dallas to catch some balls and one for TD!! I just need 14 points to win!!!!
With the worst record in the league, my co-workers have been rather gracious when beating me by single digits. Which, if I was in their shoes, I would rub it in!! haha, j/k. Well, maybe I'd rub it in for a couple minutes and then I'd be "j/k". Ok, maybe if I'm playing for the wild card spot...I just need 2 more good weeks. Smack talking did get me to last place though. I have been humbled.
I must say, Fantasy Football is too cool--this being my first time and all. It's been a cool way to relate with my co-workers, not to mention the little smack talk we have on occasion. All in good fun! These guys are great; it's been cool getting to know them in many other ways. Whether it's playing golf at 6am, fantasy football, shooting hoops with our nerf basketball, venting about some archaic company policy that hinders our ability to move forward with issues, dating philosophies, politics, or when we are going to hit Vegas together (someday...someday!!), it has become the most fun work environment I will have ever been in. I am thankful for these guys, I am thankful for this job. It has its moments, and more recently some drama, but that's not enough to deter the fun us guys are still able to have, in the office, and outside.
A couple months ago (hope no one from my corporate reads this..haha..can't prove anything on us!) 3 of my co-workers and I were given the day off, and we played golf ALL DAY LONG! 36 holes, between 2 different courses. Though we didn't hit well the latter part of the day(which was at the nice expensive course), it was the best "work" outing thus far.
Golf balls. Football. Basketball...we are a bunch of foos havin some fun. FOOSBALL!!.
